Department of Hotel management of J.J College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Pudukkottai.

Organized a one day workshop on “Bakes and Cakes” at 9.00 am on 26/07/2023 through its Dukes and

Duchess Club in its Bakery and Confectionery lab.

The resource person for the workshop was Mr.M.Manikandan, who completed his graduation in

J.J.College of Arts and Science. During 2016-2019. Now he is working as a pastry chef at “Bakery

Maharaj”, Pudukkottai.

During the session, he demonstrated the recipes of Choco Brownies, Choco Mousse and Milk Cookies.

He also motivated students to start their own ventured to fulfill their dreams and passions.

Mr.M.Manikandan started that their workshop provided the students hands on experience and preparing

bakery items including measuring of ingredients, dough making, cakes and cookies making. He also

discussed the ways to control the oven temperature.

Earlier Dr.S.Karthikeyan. Head of the department welcomed the gathering and honored the guest.

82 students participated with great enthusiasm and they got their doubts cleared.

Mr.S.Bharathithasan, Mr.M.Karthikeyan and Mr.S.Rengasamy Assistant professor of the department also

took part in the event.
