Our Institution was recognised by UGC U/S 2(f) and 12-B of the UGC Act 1956 vide letter No. F8-55/2001(CPP-I) dated August 2001. Following the Recognition, our College was granted Autonomy on 17.08.2012 by UGC New Delhi vide letter No. F.22-1/2012(AC).
Bharadhidasan University, Tiruchirappalli also conferred Autonomous Status to the Institution from the Academic year (2012 - 2013) for a period of six years.
Further extension of Autonomous Status was granted to the Institution on 11.10.2018 vide letter No. F.22.1/2017(AC) by the UGC New Delhi. Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli also granted the conferment of extension of Autonomous status on 27.12.2018 vide letter No. 23025/R/CCCD/L/2017 for a period of five years.
