J.J. College of Arts and Science students recently showcased their exceptional talent and creativity by securing top honors at various intercollegiate competitions. The intercollegiate meet, "Bio-defesta 2025," held at St. Josephs College, Tiruchirappalli, was a remarkable success for J.J. College biotechnology students. The event brought together students from various colleges to compete in a range of biotechnological and creative events. Mr. Prabhakaran, a second-year M.Sc. Biotechnology student, won second place in the highly competitive short film making event. His short film, titled "SHS (Second-Hand Smoking)," powerfully addressed the critical issue of drug abuse awareness, specifically focusing on the dangers of second-hand smoke. The film impactful concept and compelling narrative resonated
with the judges and audience, earning him a well-deserved runner-up position. In the same college competition, Mr. Yuvraj, a third-year B.Sc. Biotechnology student, also brought laurels to the college by clinching second place in the mime event. His mime performance was praised for its expressive storytelling and seamless execution, captivating the audience and demonstrating his mastery in a funny way.
The achievements continued at the "Cyberfest" intercollegiate meet held at Alagappa University. Mr. Visu and his team of P.G Biotechnology students from J.J. College secured the runner-up title in the "Fusionware" event. The Management, Principal and Faculty members of J.J.
