The PG and Research Department of Management J.J. College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Sivapuram, Pudukkottai, hosted a three day College Bazaar organized by District Supply and Marketing Society, Pudukkottai to encourage the Women SHG’s functioning in the rural areas. Groups from various districts like Madurai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Virudhunagar, Erode, Pudukkottai and Sivagangai put up stalls and did brisk business.

The Programme was from 05.02.2020 to 07.02.2020 and was inaugurated by Mr.Jayaraman, Assistant Project Officer, DSMS at 10.00 a.m. on 05.02.2020, in the presence of Dr .J. Parasuraman, Principal and Dr.S.Kavitha, Executive Trustee, Karpaga Vinaya Educational Trust, Pudukkottai. The stalls were open from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m and students from J.J.Institutions visited the stalls following a fixed time schedule. They expressed their wonder at the range and quality of the products and enthusiastically purchased various articles of daily use and food articles of various types. At the valedictory function, the Marketing Manager of District Supply and Marketing delivered the valedictory address and the SHG’s provided their feedback and expressed their gratitude to the Management for hosting the Bazaar. They expressed their satisfaction with the quantum of sales made.
