A One Day Workshop with the title “Web Programming using Python†was organised by the Departments of Information Technology, Computer Science and Computer Applications of J.J. College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Pudukkottai at 10.00 a.m. on 31.07.2019.
Dr. V.S. Suresh Kumar, Assistant Professor in Computer Science, Rajah Serfoji Government College (Autonomous), Thanjavur was the Resource Person. In inaugural ceremony, the Principal Dr. J.Parasuraman gave the welcome address followed by the Presidential Address by Dr. Kavitha Subramanian, the Management Trustee of Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Trust. Dr. S.Sudha, the Head, Department of Computer Science and Vice Principal, J.J. College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), gave the vote of thanks.
In the technical session, the resource person absolutely explained every construct of Python and also described how it is connected to data bases with ample number of samples. He illustrated the features of python with plentiful number of examples. He said that python is garbage collected, dynamically programmed and supports multiple programming paradigms including procedural, object oriented and functional programming. He demonstrated the installation of python finally and prompted the students to work on their own systems.
In the valediction, Dr. S.J.Sathish Aaron Joseph, the Head, Department of Computer Applications welcomed the gathering, Mr. N.Subramanian, the Secretary of J.J. Group of Institutions gave the presidential address and Dr. S.Manimaran, the Head, Department of Information Technology gave the vote of thanks.
