The Alumini Association of J.J.College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Pudukkottai conducted a special and extordinary meeting to create an Alumni Endowment Fund on Friday 16.08.2019.
The B.B.A. students of 1995 -1998 batch donated Rs.1.5 Lakhs to honour meritorious students of B.B.A. The amount would be deposited in a bank in the name of Alumini Association Fund and the annual interest would be utilized for awarding the best out going students of B.B.A. every year. There would be three cash prizes, the first one for Rs. 5000/, the seconf one for Rs. 4000/- and the final one for Rs.3000/-.
Presiding over the function, Dr. Kavitha Subramanian, Trustee, Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Group, Stated that the selection of the prize winners would be based on the marks secured, participation in extracurricular activities, disciplined behavior and good character. Felicitating the old boys, Dr.J.Parasuraman, Principal pointed out that the old students had become successful people in their life and he asked the present students to follow the path of the previous students to achieve success and perfection in their life.
The old students S.Sivakumar, K.N.Saravanan, V.Muthuvel addressed the B.B.A. students explaining the ways to face chellanges and to solve problems. They recalled their happy days in the college. They carried merry memories of their college life.
The 1995-98 B.B.A. batch handedover the cheque for Rs. 1.5 lakhs to the office bearers of the Alumini Association.
Earlier Dr.B.Anitha Rani, president of the Association welcomed the gathering, Dr. M.Poornima, Secretary, proposed the vote of thanks. All the old boys were honoured by the secretary Thiru.N.Subramanian, principal and Dr. G.Manikandan, Vice president. The old boys G.Vijayaragavan, R.Ashokkumar L.N. Ramanathan were present. The meeting was well attented by the students of B.B.A.
