Freshers Day was celebrated with all colours and gaiety in J.J. College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Pudukkottai, on Monday, 24th June, 2019. Parents and Students participated in the function in two sessions. The Heads of all Departments explained in detail about the facilities available in their departments, such as Labs, Department Libraries, Language Lab and about the scope of future placements in their subjects.
Dr. J.Parasuraman, Principal, stressed the need for hard work to get success in their subjects and in life. He emphasized that students should be able to develop ability to solve problems. He asked the students to invest knowledge as capital during their study in college and they will definitely find jobs of highest order.
Mr. S.Palaniappan, Controller of Examinations, spoke on the significance of COE Office in an Autonomous College. He informed that results are published within a week of the last exam and that will facilitate the final year students to go for Higher Studies in time.
Dr. Kavitha Subramanian, Trustee, Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Trust distinguished between School Education and College Education. She asked the students to write with great care both the Midsummer and Model Examinations and that will be of great help in the final semester examinations. She laid great importance to the formation of character. She recalled the proverb when character is lost everything is lost.
