Department of Mathematics organized Mathletes 2022 - Inter Collegiate Competitions on 19th April 2022. The objective of the event was to create mathematical awareness among students. Totally 71 students from various colleges participated in the event.
The morning session began with registrations for the respective events. The function started with the prayer song. The Secretary Dr.Kavitha Subramanian lighting the lamp is in a way an innovation of the waves of knowledge that are activated on stage.Dr. S. Priyadarshini, Head of the Department gave the welcome address and Secretary madam delivered the inaugural address and open the meet.
The event included six competitions Quiz, Dumb Charades, Math Model, Math Sketch, Poster Presentation and Math Rangoli. The schedule of the program was planned such that all the competitions were organised in parallel sessions in separate rooms. The post lunch session included quiz final.
Judges from various departments gave valuable judgement about the competitions. In the valedictory function, prizes were distributed to the winners by our Secretary and the Principal.Shri Bharathi Arts and Science College got the overall Winnerup shield and Sudharsan College of Arts and Science got the Runnerup shield. Participant certificates were given to all. Dr. O. Uma Maheshwari, Assistant Professor of Mathematics delivered vote of thanks. The response received from various colleges and the feedback of the participants was positive which is a great boost to the Institution.
As the whole day become witnesses of many memorable moments and leads many new thoughts that will be fulfilling as future expectations.
