The Dukes and Duchess Club, Department of Hotel Management, J.J. College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Pudukkottai organized a Special lecture on "Career opportunities in Hotel industry at Dubai" at 10.00 a.m. on 01st August 2022. The Special guest was Mr.G.Ranjith, Chef-De-Partie, Park Hyatt Dubai Golf Resort, Dubai. The lecture was attended by 47 Students and 4 Faculty members.
The Guest speaker was hearty welcomed by Mr.P.Vishnu Keerthi, II; B.Sc Hotel Management. Mr.G.Ranjith addressed the students and explained the Job opportunities for them in Dubai as well as other Arabian countries and also discussed the key attributes, skills and attitudes needed for a Hospitality career. He asked the Students to develop themselves during the college years in order to be successful and put their career on the fast track in the ever challenging, evolving and competitive Hotel sector.
The Guest advised the Students to develop the skills in Vegetables/Fruits carving, Personal grooming.
He also focused on the basic preparation techniques of Stocks, Soups and Sauces. He encouraged the Students to clear their doubts and clarified their doubts.
The vote of thanks was given by Mr.A.Kavinesh, final year Student of Hotel Management. Dr.S.Karthikeyan, Head of the Department presented a small token of appreciation to the Guest. Assistant Professors of the Department Mr.S.Bharathithasan, Mr.M.Karthikeyan and Mr.S.Rengasamy also participated in the event.
