On, Thursday 10.08.2023, the English Literary Association of J. J. College of Arts and
Science,(Autonomous), organized an Extension Activity to mark the 76th Independence day. A team
consisting of twenty English Literature students from UG and PG along with the Head of the
Department of English, Mrs. S.Selvi and two Assistant Professors of English namely Mrs. S.
Alagumathi & Mr. J. Leo Dabin Singh visited Kottur village. They emphasized the importance of
education among the village people through a play, dance, song and discourse. Then the team went to
the Panchayat Union school and explained the uses of education and its importance to the children.
They also provided stationary to the school students. They returned to the college with full
satisfaction by two in the afternoon.
