A Campus Placement Drive was organized by J.J. College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Pudukkottai as a joint adventure with Redington India Ltd., Chennai on Saturday, 12th May, 2018. The companies that came for selection of job seekers were ten in number as noted below:
Wipro, Samsung, Eureka Forbes, Equitas, Salcomp, Sanmina, Modine, Lear Automotive, Apollo Hospitals, Ison and Takada Motors.
The final year U.G. and P.G. Students of J.J. College of Arts and Science and from Colleges nearby participated with great expectations in the campus interview. Apart from J.J. College of Arts and Science, the following colleges need to be mentioned for their active cooperation and participation:
Annai College, Annai Velankanni College, A.V.V.M. Sri Pushpam College, Poondi, Perambalur Bharathidasan Constituent College, Pudukkottai H.H. The Rajah’s College, Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Management (KIM) and Puthinampatti Nehru Memorial College.
The students who sought job in the various companies, numbered 343 from all the above mentioned colleges. The selected students (267) were awarded with appointment order.
The Inaugural Session was addressed by Mr. Murugan, Project Leader, Redington Foundation, CSR. He insisted on the concept of career development in one’s life. Mere economic prosperity is not everything in life. The greatness of life lies on so many factors. Making money no doubt is one of the factors. Apart from that, lie communication skills and other skills, character, conduct, ability, talents, etc.
In her Presidential Address Dr. Kavitha Subramanian, Trustee, Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Trust appealed to the participants to make maximum use of the opportunity for growth, development, prosperity and perfection in their life.
Dr. J.Parasuraman, Principal, welcomed the large gathering. Dr. Indra Kannan, Zonal Head, Redington, Thanjavur proposed the vote of thanks.
Dr. S.J. Sathish Aaron Joseph, Head, Department of Computer Applications and Coordinator, Training and Placement Cell made all the necessary arrangements for the smooth and successful functioning of the Campus Drive.
